Samantha Amos, AGNP
Welcome Samantha Amos AGNP, our new Nurse Practitioner!
I am pleased to announce the addition of Samantha “Sam” Amos, to our growing clinic. Sam is a native of Sugar Grove, Virginia. Above all things, she places God as a priority.
Sam served 17 1/2 years in the United States army reserves. She deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009 and 2010. She drove military trucks for 12 years before transitioning to the medical field as an Army reserve medical surgical nurse.
Upon returning home she received her master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner through Walden University in 2017 and has practiced Primary and long-term care. She is currently a student at Trinity School of natural health.
She has a 15-year-old daughter and has been married for over 17 years to her husband, Johnny.
Her hobbies, besides being passionate to help her patients be happy and healthy, include gardening, rock climbing, and growing organic mushrooms She looks forward to opening a future business selling her organic mushroom harvests.
She is a primary & long-term care Nurse Practitioner with the essential experience needed to provide primary care to our many patients.
Nurse Practitioners diagnose and treat illnesses, and are able to order and interpret tests, write prescriptions, and do many common in-office procedures like breathing treatments, wart removal and stitches, to name a few.
Sam has a unique focus on wellness and preventative care, and like me, yearns to work in partnership with her patients.
My wellness clinic has been growing quickly over the past 3 years and we have reached a point where I need additional help in order to best serve our patients. I repeatedly told the Lord that I either needed a cloning machine, or an individual that shared my passion for wellness, truth, and God’s way of healing. Lo and behold, FINALLY…Sam, by no coincidence, came to the clinic.
Sam will be officially starting Nov 1st, 2024. Many of you have already met her, as she has been shadowing me a few days a week, for a couple months now.
I am certain you all will believe, as I do, she will be an amazing addition. She is friendly, funny, smart and very down to earth. She loves the challenges, and desires to dig-deep to get to the root cause of your health concerns, just like I do.
Initially, Sam will be available a few days a week for sick & acute visits, however, soon enough she will also be helping patients manage their overall health. She is becoming well trained and educated in the holistic approach to all the health concerns that come through our doors.
With the addition of a new practitioner, new and existing patients may wonder if they will be able to see me as frequently. The answer is YES! We are committed to maintaining that access. In fact, this is one of the driving forces for bringing in a new practitioner. This allows us to keep wait times for appointments at a steady state. It allows us to move through our waiting list much quicker. Ultimately, it allows better patient care. If you want to see me at the clinic, you will be able to – just be sure to schedule your well visits in advance. Sam, for now, will be available to those who want to get in more quickly or have an urgent need when I am unavailable.
If, eventually you want to move to Sam as your primary care provider, just let us know– we want everyone to have the provider they want and are most comfortable with.
On another thrilling note, we are about to expand our current space. Stay tuned for updates!
I am so excited for the future of our clinic & wellness center! In the past few months, we have brought many new amazing services and staff to MHC. From IV Nutrient Infusions and Hydration, to in-house bloodraw, our amazing staff and vision continue to grow! What a blessing, God is good, all the time.
Please join me in welcoming Sam to Mountainside Holistic Clinic. She is a great addition!
